Last Clinical...

This week was our last clinical at TMH Rehab.  I actually think I will miss the place however, we need to move on to bigger things.  As our lab instructor says, "The really fun stuff!"  Oh bring on the FUN!!!

WOUNDS!!

Clinicals this week were GREAT!! I got to see staples removed and a stage three pressure ulcer!!  I was not nervous about that first knock! YAY!  I also was about to go through the assessment without having to go back to the room multiple times because of things I missed.  I cannot believe these 8weeks are almost over.  I know I will miss our class!!  Time to get back to studying...

A Friday off....

I know it is pretty lame to make a post about having a Friday off but I'm sure in our next eight weeks we won't have time off.  I shall enjoy this one!! :)

I'm gonna have to buy a BP cuff!!

I remember my old A&P Lab class at a different school where we had to take the BP of our lab partners. I got something that was WAY off every time I did it. I will be that student that messes up I just know it. Open lab HERE I COME! Fun times.

Nursing Meaning...

I wanted to become a nurse because that was all I had ever talked about since Middle School.  I was always the class helper (lame I know..ha ha) whenever the teacher needed someone to pass things out. Since I love helping others and love babies, I said if I put those two together that had to equal nurse.

As far as nursing is concerned, I would like to be in the NICU.  I would want to be a part of saving the lives of many infants.  If that is not possible then I would want to be in labor and delivery. As long as I don't have to look at someone else's cash and prizes all day that could work out for me, even though I'm sure that after awhile it wouldn't matter.

It all boils down to a nurse being someone to help out others in their time of need.
